Liturgy and Prayer

To help the Chaminade Family grow in the love of God through experiences of prayer, sacraments, liturgy and the Church is an integral part of the Campus Ministry Mission Statement.

The school day is begun with prayer and students have the opportunity volunteer to read the prayer when it is assigned to their House.

Mass is celebrated every First Friday of the Month, on all Holy Days of Obligation, on select days before school in the Seasons of Advent and Lent, and for other occasions, such as Christmas Midnight Mass, Blessed Fr. Chaminade Day, Junior Ring Day, Senior Baccalaureate and Eighth Grade Transition.

Reconciliation is offered to all students through their Theology Classes during both Advent and Lent. Chaminade's Chaplain is also available to hear confessions prior to each month's liturgy.

Prayer services are held most Mondays for individual Houses, on Ash Wednesday, and during Holy Week each year. Students are invited to participate in various roles during each liturgy or prayer service.

Father ChaminadeLord Jesus, we gather in spirit at the foot of the Cross with your Mother and the disciple whom you loved.

We ask your pardon for our sins which are the cause of your death. We thank you for remembering us in that hour of salvation and for giving us Mary as our Mother.

Holy Virgin, take us under your protection and open us to the action of the Holy Spirit.

St. John, obtain for us the grace of taking Mary into our life, as you did, and of assisting her in her mission.

Marianist Doxology

May the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit be glorified in all places through the Immaculate Virgin Mary. Amen.
