Service Hour Requirements
Service hour requirement for each grade level for the school year are listed below.
Middle School Service Requirements
Total of 10 service hours
- These 10 service hours can be served at a community service agency, church or at Chaminade (if you choose.
- Service to your neighbors is acceptable.
Total of 10 service hours
- These 10 service hours can be served at a community service agency, church or at Chaminade (if you choose.

Total of 15 service hours
- These 15 service hours can be served at a community service agency or church.
- Only 10 of these 15 service hours can be served at Chaminade (if you choose).
- Service for family members, for-profit business and/or babysitting does NOT count for service..
High School Service Requirements
All hours MUST be submitted using the Helper Helper app. Freshmen will be given access to the app when the new school year begins. Hours done over the summer can be submitted when students are given access.

30 Social Justice Service Hours
- These 30 service hours MUST be served at a social justice agency. Some possibilities include Fr. Dempsey’s and TASK.

- Service for family members, for-profit business and/or babysitting does NOT count for service.
- Service for neighbors is by pre-approval only.
Total of 20 service hours
- These 20 service hours can be served at a community service agency.
- Only 10 of these 20 service hours can be served at Chaminade (if you choose).

Senior Service Leadership Project
- All seniors must plan, recruit, and lead a service project with at least two underclassmen.
Senior Service Leadership Project
- Seniors will present a PowerPoint presentation to their mentor group at the end of the second semester. More information will be provided at a later date..
