Remembering Jake Tallon '28

Remembering Jake TallonThank you all for the outpouring of support and prayers for Jake Tallon '28, his family, and everyone in the Chaminade community. Jake loved his time at Chaminade, and his family has expressed their desire to celebrate his life in the place that meant so much to him. In honoring their wishes, Chaminade will host Jake's end of life celebrations.

We are humbled to play a role in honoring Jake’s life and legacy and invite all who wish to attend his end-of-life celebrations. To ensure our community can come together during this time, we have made the following adjustments to our schedule this week:

 
  • Wednesday: Early Dismissal at 12:50 PM (no lunch service). We will hold a prayer service for the distribution of ashes with prayers for Jake and the Tallon family. Additionally, students may participate in a "Soccer Jersey" dress-down in honor of Jake.  Attendees to the visitation are welcome to wear their favorite sports jersey in honor of Jake's legacy as a dedicated student-athlete.
  • Thursday: No classes.
  • Friday: First Friday liturgy, which will include special prayers for Jake.
 
If you are unable to attend Jake's celebration of life in person, we will be streaming the service live beginning at 2:00pm on Thursday.  Click the button below to view.
